It's Wednesday! I hope to hear from all of you at some point today! Check in, ask questions, learning somethings and wash your hands! Learning Target for Today! I can interpret data to compare and contrast the planets in our solar system in terms of size relative to Earth through my solar system modeling activity. Activity For Today Today we are taking a break from USA test prep to do something different! Task: You are going to FIND objects around your house to represent the 8 planets in our solar system (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune). They should be representative of the relative size of the planets (bonus if you take surface features into consideration when picking your objects). To help you with this, use the link below to compare the sizes of the different planets to Earth. You should not make any of these objects, only find them. After you find the objects that represent your planets based on size, line them up in the order of the planets starting at the sun and take a picture of them. Send me your picture to my email. Have the subject line of your email be your name and class period. solarsystem.nasa.gov/planets/earth/by-the-numbers/ Digital Office Hours I will be dedicated to responding to any emails between the hours of 10:30 - 12:00. Any questions, comments, or discussions can be emailed to me at [email protected] . I would love to hear from you during this time! Interesting Science Fact of The Day! Our sun is considered a medium sized star and you can still fit over one million Earths inside of it!
