I can plan and carry out an investigation to provide evidence that soil is composed of layers of weathered rocks and decomposed organic material through my dirt designers activity! (S6E5h). Activity For Today Today is another Walk Away From Your Screen Wednesday! Today’s activity is Dirt Designers! You are going to be investigating how soil is composed of layers of weathered rocks and decomposed organic material. Your assignment is to show the following things; soil can come in different textures, colors, and can contain different types of organic material. You are going to be doing this by creating a painting or artwork using only the different kinds of soil found in and around your home. You may use organic material that you find within your soil in your painting as well. Your finished artwork should be photographed and emailed to me by 4:30 on Friday! Requirement Checklist: - It is a painting or work of art - It contains many different types of soil and organic material from in and around your house - Make sure you clean up any mess you make - An emailed picture should be sent to me by 4:30 on Friday Digital Office Hours I will be dedicated to responding to any emails between the hours of 10:30 - 12:00.
